Size Does Matter

Determining whether you need two-section or three-section poles is dictated by how compact of a pole you need. Ski mountaineers, splitboarders and winter hikers typically prefer our three-section poles, which collapse to an ultra-compact, pack-friendly size. The minimalist construction and unrivaled strength of our two-section poles make them the standard for snowshoers and backcountry skiers.

Measuring Your Options

Sometimes size does matter. The difference between our two- and three-section poles is how small they telescope down, with our three-section poles collapsing to ultra-compact, pack-friendly size. Thru-hikers, alpinists and backpackers in technical terrain typically prefer our three-section poles, while alpine trekkers and day hikers often select the simplicity and unrivaled strength of our two-section poles.
