SEASONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

General Summary of Responsibilities:

To provide customer service, warranty, repair, and technical information to consumers and dealers who contact the company by the 800 lines, web-site or e-mail, and/or, walk into the factory.

Job Duties:

  • Act as initial contact for consumer/retailer support with immediate response to the 800 consumer line and email communication and provide technical repair and warranty question support. Provide resolution to customer conflict with a professional and technically adept manner.
  • Monitor and manage the use of CDI Repair Program/Data entry program.
  • Cross train within the Dealer Services Department to gain an understanding of all aspects of the position and to cover territories of other Dealer Services Reps.
  • Maintain working relationships with Project Managers, Product Specialists, R& D, Marketing and all internal CDI customers to ensure that lines of communication are open for all product issues and information. Work closely with QA & Product managers concerning product failures and consumer inquiries.
  • Cross train within the Warranty and Repair Department to gain an understanding of all aspects of the position and fill in when necessary.
  • Responsible for organizing, restocking and managing small parts inventory. Ship replacement parts to consumers and dealers as needed with same day action.
  • Support Sales, Reps, and Dealer Service Reps as well as International Distributors with technical, warranty and repair information, and small parts.

Education, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
  • Pleasant, courteous and efficient telephone manner.
  • Ability to have excellent customer service approach.
  • Capacity to communicate effectively with a broad spectrum of dealers, reps, and consumers on a wide range of issues.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 2010 Software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Previous employment in the outdoor industry related to customer services and/or retail.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with our products.
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.

DEALER SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE

General Summary of Responsibilities:

To be a point of contact for CDI’s Dealers , Sales Representatives and E-Commerce Customers in the U.S. and Canada, by responding to e-mail and phone inquiries, and providing them with answers to inquiries, and entering orders for requests for product.

Job Duties:

  • Immediate response to incoming Canadian and US sales phone lines, incoming e-mails and faxes for sales information orders, requests and problem resolution.
  • Interface with Dealers, Sales Reps and Sales Managers to process and track orders, revise existing pre-season orders and enter ASAP orders the same day they are received, with special attention to closeout sales, program orders and e-commerce orders.
  • Cross train within the Dealer Services Department to gain an understanding of all aspects of the position and to cover territories of other Dealer Services Reps.
  • Identify opportunities to suggest or increase sales.
  • Work with internal CDI customers (shipping, credit, inventory status) to ensure Dealers receive the best service in all their interactions from CDI.
  • Maintain CDI’s procedures and reputation with quality service.

MARKETING COPYWRITER

General Summary of Responsibilities:

The Copywriter writes copy and contributes to brand and category positioning and strategy for all global marketing communications for Cascade Designs. This is achieved by working on dedicated product category teams to include the Marketing Operations Director, Division Marketing Directors, Division Directors, and Graphic Designers. The primary responsibility is to write marketing copy that authentically connects with Cascade Designs’ consumers, builds brand/product category awareness and drives sales.

Job Duties:

  • Maintain a personality and voice for Cascade Designs’ brands via copywriting for all marketing vehicles in alignment with brand, category and product positioning platforms. Own, and be accountable for, authentic, benefit- and sales-focused market messaging.
  • Copy (60%)-Write and proof copy for all marketing vehicles.
  • Positioning/Creative Briefs (25%)-Assist Division Marketing Director with the development of creative briefs for category marketing projects as needed. Assist Division Marketing Director with the development of brand, product and category positioning as needed.
  • Process, Project Management, Other (15%)-Achieve established deadlines, track and report on all tasks via our internal project management tool, At Task. Responsible for following established copy and approval procedures ensuring accuracy for all work product. Responsible for accuracy of trademark list (working with legal) and ensuring proper use of trademarks across all communications. Increase product knowledge through personal usage of Cascade Designs’ and competitors’ product.
  • Budget & Time Management-Estimates, tracks and manages copy resources (hours) needed for assigned programs/projects. Identifies and recommends additional copywriting resource needs early in project planning.

Education, Skills and Abilities:

  • 4 year degree in marketing communications, writing and/ or related field preferred.
  • Three-plus years of experience crafting marketing copy for a variety of communication tools (previous outdoor-industry experience a plus).
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Demonstrated success in managing project workload, estimating and tracking time and status reporting, via an internal or external project management program.
  • Broad experience and current activity in human-powered, backcountry and paddling sports is preferred to lend authenticity to writing.
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience.
